千月、"Grave of the Fireflies"（日本語でほたるのはか）というえいがをみました。えいがはとてもよかったでした。Grave of the Fireflies, released in 1988, is a historical war drama film produced by Studio Ghibli, and directed by Isao Takahata. The movie is based on "Grave of the Fireflies," a semi-autobiographical story by Akiyuki Nosaka.

The film tells the story of Seita and his younger sister Setsuko, set in the city of Kobe, Japan, during the Pacific War. In March 1945, American bombers destroy most of Kobe near the end of the war. Seita and Setsuko, the children of an Imperial Japanese Navy captain, survive the attacks, but their mother ends up severely injured and later dies.

The story continues on to show the lives of Seita and Setsuko, who are now doing their best to survive on their own, completely relying on one another while struggling to fend for themselves in the ruins of the war.

Grave of the Fireflies is a devastating, true-to-life depiction of the cost of war on humanity. I would highly recommend Grave of the Fireflies to anyone- it is a beautiful film with captivating animation that highlights the impact of war on innocent human lives.
